Well, when I was a child I wanted to study medicine or to become an astronaut. I really liked the science and all that stuff. Suddenly, in the last period of the school, I decided to introduce myself in the humanities. So, in that moment of my life I wanted to study history or antropology, but finally I decided to become a lawyer. Why? Because of my parents' pressure. In their version, in economic terms, It was the safest career. So, I enter to the law school in "Universidad de Chile", but at my third year I was so bored. The only thing you had to do was memorizing all the codes: civil code, procedural code, etc.
So, finally, despite of my parents' opinion, I decided to leave law and start studying something relationed with the social sciences. Sociology was the best option for me, because I was really interested in what it was really happening in Chile. Social movements, health problems, educational problems, and so on.
I don't know if that decition was the best, but I think I'm really happy with my studies. I'm finishing my career and I expect to work in something interesting relationed with the social research.

Who am I
I'm Alejandro Castillo and I'm studying sociology. I love reading books of literature, history or social sciences in general. I also like music, I can stand hours listening some rock albums.
I was born in Santiago Chile. I am 25 years old. For now, I want to finish my studies and start working in some social research organization.
I have a lot of interests. I like literature, cinema and, of course, I love to travel. Five years ago, I traveled for seven months with a friend to some countries in South America. I went to Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.
Well, I can't refused that I also like to spend time with my friends going to some parties or just talking. With some of them, I share my politics interests about the chilean situation. I'm participating in a politic party that criticize the social order in Chile. I'm working with trade unions of the agro-industrial sector in the South of Santiago.
On the other hand, my favourite book is "Karamazov brothers" written by Dostoievsky (a russian writter). It talks about the moral problems in an aristocratic family in Russia (in the 19th century). The karamazov brothers want the big heritage of their father, so they do everything to get that. Also, the characters descriptions are deep and subtle with some nice details.
Talking about food, I like all the peruvian dishes, starting with ceviche. I also like see food in general.
Well, I will show you some pictures!

Here I'm with a friend in "Salar de Uyuni", Bolivia
ç
With my girlfriend at "Parque Conguillío".

A particular look of myself.
